Young lesbian artist Genevieve Chua explores the themes of psychological horror and sexuality through her pencil drawings and wants to invoke viewers to rethink their perceptions and conjure new experiences. She has held two solo exhibitions in Singapore and has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including 72-13 which was part of 2007’s Indignation calendar. “Absence/Presence” is a rare series of oil paintings from Genevieve’s store of early works which were inspired by the classic French movie “Amelie”.

TheBearProject Charity Art Show - The Auction Continues
The organizing committee of the TheBearProject Charity Art Show would like to thank you for taking time off to come to our event last Saturday. Your presence helped make our big “coming out” event at Singapore’s Indignation festival a big success. The auction of art works raised more than $5,700 for The Necessary Stage’s Triangle Project as well as a number of other charities.
If you still considering buying pieces from the show, you can view some of them below and bidding is open until the end of September. Half of the proceeds will still go to Necessary Stage's - The Triangle Project and the other half will be equally divided and donated anonymously to The Straits Times-School Pocket Money Fund, Assisi Hospice and NANAS (Noah’s Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary).
TheBearProject has only been up and running for a year, and the group is truly grateful for the enormous support it has received from local gay community sites like Fridae and Trevvy, fellow gay groups and members of the gay community like yourselves. With your continuing support, we hope to contribute even more in the years to come.
So thank you all once again!
best regards,
