For this piece of work, he juxtaposed two seemingly contrasting images. One image from his "Hypertrophy" book that showcases Asian musculature is dark and serious in tonality. The other, from a children's book, is both colourful and whimsical. Charged with a conceptual drive, this research is then adapted into objects, images, installations, situations or texts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;His current research dwells on the representation of imposed solitary situations within the genres of sci-fi and fantasy seen through the psychological characterizations of The Hide-away, The Cast-away and The Prisoner. Kay Chin has exhibited widely and his photographs are collected by both public institutions and private collectors. He travels extensively and works with some of the most popular American labels in the market.
